Kopuwai Delta | Extra Virgin Olive Oil

Kopuwai Delta Extra Virgin Olive Oil comes from two small olive groves situated in Kopuwai Delta Vineyard in Pisa Valley at the delta of the Clutha river, next to the Bendigo Reserve. The name comes from the powerful legend of Kopuwai, the taniwha (spirit legend) of the Clutha river.

The trees grow slowly and organically with a minimum amount of water applied. The flavour profile is an ‘infield blend’ driven by expression of the site year on the year depending on the season’s weather. The resulting olive oil is rich in both flavour profile and colour. 

They hand harvest during the month of May for immediate pressing into premium olive oil. Olive oil lasts a long time and can be enjoyed at its freshest when more peppery, or allowed to mellow over time in the bottle.
